Hangout Conversations is the only show of its kind that uses the G+ Hangout interface to conduct one-on-one interviews of (mostly) regular folks, broadcasting via Livestream to an online audience. Once the interview’s over, we invite viewers into the hangout (which is private up to that point, viewable on Livestream), where we have Conversations+, the official aftershow of Hangout Conversations. Viewers can then ask the guest questions, chat about Google+, among other things.

Want to be a guest on a future show? Follow us on Twitter at: http://www.twitter.com/hangoutconvos or email us at hangoutconversations@live.com- we have slots available Nov.-Dec.

This is for a VERY Good Cause

Hi everyone! Last week you may have remembered me talking a little bit about the American Heart Association and one of the fundraisers that I am doing at work for the Nashville Area Chapter Heart Walk. Well, the Heart Walk is coming up this weekend and I am down to the deadline for contributions.

I have already contributed well over $100 through my website and various other charity events we have hosted as well as matching contributions for 50%. I invite and challenge you to make a small donation to this wonderful cause and help me overcome my goal’s deficit of $17.94 by going to one of the two links below to donate.

The American Heart Association’s official page will ask that you donate at least $25. If you would like to make a smaller donation, simply click the PayPal link in my blog which is listed below. I really look forward to bragging about those of you that have supported so far like Julie Montgomery, paul mcdermott and @Grantham from Twitter.

You can visit my official AHA Donation Page here or visit my blog below. Please, if you cannot support financial, re-share this post in the hopes that I will be able to get at least the $17.94 required to meet my goal. Thank you!

Editor’s Note: Research shows that you usually have to reach an audience 3 times to break through to them when working on a charitable cause. You can find my other two posts here: https://plus.google.com/108541235642523883716/posts/cPTLyB7fEAr and here: https://plus.google.com/108541235642523883716/posts/hJqE9JVpgKq just to prove that I have not been spamming and am doing this all with good intentions. Once again, thank you for your support!

So.

So…when did you become famous on Google Plus? I’d love to know. Maybe you aren’t, yet (if so, I’m sure matthew rappaport would LOVE to have you as a guest in his Hangout Conversations interview show sometime–hit him up at http://www.hangoutconversations.com, yo)!

I have often said out loud, that I do not know how or why I have so many circling me on this network (though I am over the moon about it, THANKS!), but I guess it’s not that hard to figure out… I have circled many fantabulous users on G+, contributed more than my fair share of comments and +1s. I’ve shared tons of posts and whatnot, have crashed numerous Hangouts, and even held a couple of my own. I’ve also circled quite a handful (and counting) of really interesting peeps on here, myself (and some circle-sharing by me commenced yesterday–more to come).

Anyhoo…if I were to figure out what really catapulted my visibility on the network… I’d start by pointing it to these two occurrences:

July 13, 2011

Craig Kanalley turns my online world upside-down by including a screen grab of me (and several other G+angstas) in part of his article on the front page of HuffPost Tech section, where it stood for a whole day and resulted in a bajillion people circling me on G+:

Lynette Young includes mine as one of the (many!) wonderful bios featured at her now-famous Women of Google+ website:
