\nWhat a cute face!<\/strong><\/p>\n
Her name is Queen, and I\u2019ve had her for just a short\u00a0while now.\u00a0<\/p>\n
She\u00a0was living where there were 2 dogs (both hyper, yip-yap types) and she did not care to be around them, so she only came out at night, and rarely.\u00a0 So she did not have a lot of human interaction.\u00a0 My friend\u2019s 5-year old daughter\u00a0was very happy to have a cat, but not one that didn\u2019t come out to play very much, or be around the house when all the dogs and people were out.\u00a0 They were worried that it wasn\u2019t the proper home for her, so when I was on the phone with my friend one night, who seemed concerned enough to want to find her a new home,\u00a0I asked her if I could take care of Queen.\u00a0 It\u00a0seemed like a perfect match,\u00a0since I had been wanting some animal companionship for a long time, and also since I wasn\u2019t allergic to her.<\/p>\n
It took my friend\u2019s daughter some convincing.\u00a0 It was her cat, after all.\u00a0 One day, a couple weeks later, I came home from being gone all day, to hear a message on my answering machine from the little girl.\u00a0 All it said was, \u201cYou can have the cat, you can have Queen. Do you want her? OK, bye!\u201d<\/p>\n
She ran off a couple weeks ago, and stayed gone a long time.\u00a0\u00a0My friend\u00a0was worried that she might run off again, so when they did find her, she was brought over right away, to my house, where she seems pretty content to have the place to herself for the most part.<\/p>\n

She decided one night, to be so bold as to jump up onto my hi-top kitchen table.<\/p>\n
Look at that pouty puss!<\/strong><\/p>\n Queen is a little rough around the edges, as she was really matted (being a Persian, they are prone to that sometimes). But she\u2019s had a good clipping, and her coat will grow back nice and full in no time.<\/p>\n She is also very talkative, and when I come through the door after being gone (even if it\u2019s just going to get the mail), she comes out from wherever she\u2019s been, and meows at me for a few minutes.\u00a0 She\u2019ll usually be in whatever room I\u2019m in (except she doesn\u2019t come to\u00a0my room or lie on my bed when I go to sleep at night, which is good, I don\u2019t need cat hair all over my bed).\u00a0 She also likes to come up to me when I\u2019m working at my desk, and meow at me for a bit, usually to get some lovin\u2019s and pettin\u2019s Earlier this year,\u00a0had the pleasure of meeting a beautiful cat belonging to a girlfriend.\u00a0 Upon visiting her and\u00a0petting her\u00a0a few times, I found I wasn\u2019t allergic!\u00a0 That was a good feeling knowing that there was a breed (or perhaps type) of cat that I might possibly own in the future.
