Well, last night I went to my mom\u2019s house. This year was the first time in a long time that I didn\u2019t go to an actual party. Me, my sis and her hubby and a couple of our friends all drank and played games and ate lots of junk. We let my nephew stay up late\u2026that was kind of a mistake, since he was really cranky. Then he found out one of our other friends wasn\u2019t coming, and he cried. Nonetheless, a fairly fun time was had by all, everyone else got drunker than me, but I was the one with the headache this morning. Go figure.<\/p>\n
Things that suck<\/p>\n
-Papa Roach<\/p>\n
-the Trojan condom commercials<\/p>\n
-MTV, thinking they\u2019re cool by re-broadcasting their lame-ass New Years eve show<\/p>\n
-the runny stuff that comes out before the mustard, no matter how damn long you shake the bottle before you squeeze it. That really sucks because it makes stuff soggy.<\/p>\n
-trying to pound a nail in the wall, only to crack it, cause it\u2019s an old plaster-pour wall and you have to find the stud. Grrrr.<\/p>\n
-people who buy shit that they don\u2019t even need.<\/p>\n
-Xzibit, cause he wears a shirt that says \u201cFuck Napster\u201d. Fuck him. Last night he did a cover of Public Enemy\u2019s \u2018Fight The Power\u2019. For what? So that the kids in the audience at that show can appreciate it? 80% of those kids were crapping in their diapers when PE did that shit.<\/p>\n
Something else I need to get off my chest, add to this list of things that suck:
\n-people who call themselves emo, are into emo, or put up entire websites devoted to emo. emo is a just plain stupid ass name for shitty noisy stage drama, kids passing themselves off as the \u2018new punk\u2019 rockers.<\/p>\n
WTF? Why can\u2019t you just enjoy and play rock n\u2019 roll and leave it at that? Do you have to feel like you need to separate yourself from it? God forbid you might have to share something with generations upon generations of other people, be part of something larger than your lame-ass, screaming, patchouli-wearing, \u201cI hate everyone who isn\u2019t vegan, I\u2019m 18 and I have a garage band and we wear greg brady clothes and don\u2019t know how to sing but look at OUR AMPS!\u201d clique.<\/p>\n
I listen to nearly everything, but because I ENJOY it, not because it is categorized somehow, or associated with some THING I either like it or I don\u2019t and that\u2019s THAT. I don\u2019t know what the fuck it is, if I like it I will get the cd and I don\u2019t care about anything beyond that. If it\u2019s melodic or catchy, makes me move or stirs my soul or makes me want to sing, that\u2019s all that matters.
