I’m completely amazed at this woman. Her confidence and “Can-do” attitude PLUS all she does as a mother, homemaker, sportswoman, and governor of her state make her the ultimate “package” and proof that anyone can do anything they put their mind to.
As for her level of experience? Can’t say that I think she lacks any. She has executive experience, as far as I know, being a mayor of a city and being governor are important jobs and are on par with being a CEO of a corporation-a major qualification for such a job as vice president, even president.
Her experience as governor, while brief so far, *is* considered executive experience, part of it being commander in chief for the national guard of her state, which is military commanding experience according to the government, and last time I checked, the presidential candidate for the other party has none of this type of experience. People have been criticizing Palin as having limited or no experience. On one hand, while that is simply not true, its practically irrelevant, since the Constitution assigns no executive powers to the vice president, only acting as an agent of the president. On the other hand, her experience as governor and having knowledge and practice in government will certainly help in her role of vice president which includes being the presiding officer of the U.S. Senate.
Here’s why I like her…
- She runs a successful home alongside her husband (who by the way, is a great dad who pulls his own weight in the family-so that should squelch all this chatter about having children to raise makes her a bad choice for such a big job).
- She has cut through the bureaucracy in her state and held her own in matters where she had to made decisions for the benefit of the people in her state, over playing favorites or doing what’s popular.
- She killed unnecessary spending in her state’s government, cutting out the expenses typically lavished on governors and VIPs, starting with selling the governor’s jet on eBay!
- She drives herself to work, pumps her own gas, and grocery shops for her family, herself. Most state officials I know about, have a car & driver and/or limo, and staff to handle all these tasks. She doesn’t need them, and in fact refuses them.
- She runs marathons, and when not running in one, she’s training for one.
- She’s not afraid of guns. She fishes, hunts. She can field dress a moose! She is more man than most men I know.
- She’s also very feminine, and beautiful. She looks great whether she’s in a designer suit, t-shirt & jeans, camo gear, a dress, or a sweatshirt & track pants.
- She is pro-military, and cares about what the troops are doing, how they are feeling, and has worked closely with her state’s national guard.
These are things I have not even seen in a MALE candidate running in a major political race.

I’m supremely in awe of Sarah Palin and I think having her alongside John McCain, she will bring our country much success and prosperity.
