Just came across this article below from Brad McCarty. All in all, a good change for Facebook and a way to capitalize on the news of business profiles getting deleted on Google+.
However, for Facebook to continue to be the force they are, here’s what they need to do:
Take time to regain focus: Things will make more sense to them and they can then focus in a better frame of mind. When and if a business implements solely on fear and rush to cover their ass, things tend to go downhill. Not as good quality/value.
Calm down higher ups: Stop putting immense pressure on those who actually create. The creators and idea makers are the future of the network. Give them space and let them do what they do best without breathing down their neck.
Yes, deadlines are necessary and it sure doesn’t hurt to be reasonable 🙂
The big shift: Far better to work from a place of relaxed focus than “Oh my god, we gotta get this done NOW!” focus.
