So everyone is chattering away about the new Hangout experiences, but more importantly, the mobile updates we’ve all been waiting for (Android only, sorry iOS peeps) have arrived… am updating my app through the Market now… so we shall see how it all goes!
Check it:
– Join Hangouts from the mobile app (duh…no one can shut up about this one yet)
– Set profile photo
– Huddle is now Messenger
– Send photos in Messenger
– Long press on post to +1, share and mute (this, I like)
– Improved video posts support
(does this mean YT links will now embed if I post them via mobile?)
– Improved public search for people
– Granular push notification settings (AWESOME!)
– Move app to your SD card (I ask for this from any app)
– Various bug and performance improvements
– Post and participate in a Messenger convos via SMS (U.S.)
– Improved +mention support (YESS!)
Just FYI You must update your G+ app through the Android Market to see the changes.
“Huddle” is now “Messenger”? LOL. Kinda reeks of AIM or AOL…IMHO
